Back <<---LINK.MOROCCAN middle atlas berber rug The unique Berber knot is usually chunky and primitive but in this rare rug it is very fine and provides a heavy piece with a glossy wool and lovely sheen. The checkerboard design is sometimes found in rugs from the region of Boujad in the western Middle Atlas, but it is unusual for it to cover the whole field. The text book "Marokko" by Kurt Rainer shows the design in a Boujad rug on plate 108. Reference 2256. Size 126 x 93 cms. 4ft. 2ins. x 3ft. 1ins. Euros 425.
