Small verneh (36” x 37” = 92cm x 94cm), woven in two columns and sewn up the middle. Quite good condition, though small repairs as shown, and part of the center seam is coming unsewn. White is cotton. Ground color might be insect dye, or combination of madder and insect dye. Several small elements are done with metal-wrapped thread, but some of the metal is now worn away. Colors all appear to be natural, vegetal, with the probable exception of a purple that is lighter on the front. Circa 1900, or maybe 19th C—at least old enough to be interesting.
